Twisting Fairy Tales with It’s Not Hansel and Gretel

Introduce a twist on the classic story of Hansel and Gretel with this hilarious children's book, "not gingerbread" houses, and dramatic play! #kidsbooks #hanselandgretel #nothanselandgretel #gingerbreadhouse #gingerbreadhousealternative #STEMproject #STEMfoods #joshfunk #dramaticplay #funnykidsbookI have always enjoyed when authors take familiar stories and poems and put their own spin on it. One of my favorite stories growing up was a twist on the story of the 3 Little Pigs. Since my daughter is already familiar with lots of stories and fairy tales, we have a lot of fun reading different versions of the same stories. Today’s book takes the story of Hansel and Gretel and turns it completely on it’s head. With current jokes, a blast of imagination, and even a stab at sexism in fairy tales, this is a twisted fairy tale that everyone can laugh along with!

Like This? Read This! YA Books for Adults to Enjoy

Looking for a new book to read? Check out these recommendations for YA books you will love based on your favorite adult reads! #bookstoread #books #reading #YAbooks #readingYA #YAfiction #fictionbooks #booksimreading Young adult fiction gets a bad rap sometimes. People assume YA books are full of over the top teen angst and ludicrous plots. And I can understand a bit. I’ve read my fair share of disappointing melodramas. A few years ago, I decided to dig back into the YA world, and I was shocked by the fantastic stories I discovered. Engaging plots, with well-rounded characters and fun creative twists, these books reminded me why reading is so much fun. It is a natural escape from our everyday lives. The world of YA can seem a bit muddy, so I created a list of books that you will enjoy based off of some of your favorite “adult” novels.
