One of my favorite parts of the day is snuggling up with my daughter and reading to her before bed. Each night we finish our reading time with a picture book about love, or a soothing bedtime story. We have lots of children’s books about love, and we keep them together with the bedtime books because they are perfect for lulling her to sleep with thoughts of love and security. Today I’m sharing some of the latest children’s books about love between parents and kids that we are enjoying.
The COVID pandemic shook the world. As hard as it has been for adults to comprehend, it has been just as difficult, if not harder, for kids. Suddenly we yanked them from school, told them they had to stay home, and didn’t let them see their friends (other than on a screen). To make matters worse, we didn’t give them any indication when it would end. As I write this, life still isn’t back to normal, and may never be the same as it was before. To help kids understand the lockdown, and encourage them to do their part to help, I am thrilled to share a beautiful children’s book about the pandemic and the time we had to stay home.

No matter how you feel about her politics, she had a hand in many of the decisions that have shaped our country. With her recent passing, her legacy is being celebrated. She was a strong woman who fought for women’s rights, and many more important causes.
