There are so many kinds of love, and it is so important that we teach kids that love, kindness and affection are some of the best things in life. I love sharing books about love with my daughter. I want her to know that love isn’t just a sentiment that we say to one another before bed, but that it is something that we feel, and something we should embody. I love Fancy Nancy. The popular book series by Jane O’Connor and Robin Preiss Glasser follows Nancy Clancy, a young girl who loves everything fancy. She loves to use big words, and she dresses and accessorizes to impress. She also uses French words whenever she can, and does her best to add a little fantastique to the world around her. With the recent release of the Disney Junior show based on the books, my daughter has fallen in love with the world of Fancy Nancy.
