Music can be incredibly powerful. A song can evoke a memory, make us wonder, or give us something to think about. There are lots of wonderful children’s books about musicians and the songs that have made a difference in our society. So, today I have gathered 13 of them to share with you.

Despite the fact that my parents told me that I could do anything, I remember being told by teachers at school that I couldn’t do things because I was a girl. Because of this, it means even more to me that I surround my daughter with some of the amazing children’s books about girls in STEM, so that she won’t be lead to believe that “it’s only for the boys”. I love that there are so many amazing resources available now to get kids interested in science, computing and engineering from an early age. So I decided to gather a list of amazing picture books and chapter books that feature girls in STEM!
I love books that encourage kids to explore the world around them. When kids learn to discover things on their own and direct their own learning, they can unearth new information and interests. Today’s book focuses on scientific discovery for kids. It not only introduces readers to a pair of curious kids, but also joins them on their journey of discovery as they explore something new on their own.
I will be the first to admit that I was a very picky eater as a kid. (Sorry Mom and Dad!). I have gotten a lot better about trying new foods, but I have a hard time making my daughter try new things when I am not the best at it. Lucky for me, she is a bit more open to trying new things. However, like most kids, she isn’t always happy about vegetables. So I was thrilled when we had the opportunity to work with the Veggie Buds Club and learn fun new ways to get excited about vegetables!
I love taking walks with my daughter. I remember taking her out in her stroller during her first year and singing and talking while we strolled. It was a great way to get out of the house and get some fresh air. As she has grown, our walks have become more varied, but it’s still one of my favorite activities. There are so many amazing books out there for babies and children. It can be overwhelming trying to narrow down the books that you should have for your kids. I wouldn’t even know where to start if someone asked me to come up with a list of the most important books for kids to have. However, I do think that all kids can benefit from having a few Priddy Books on their shelves.

Spring is here (or should be soon)! With the weather turning warmer, we are hoping to get outside more and take our learning outdoors. I am always on the lookout for quality products to introduce to my daughter and help us in our day to day activities.
