Books provide a window to our world without ever leaving your own home. They are magical portals to worlds only available in our dreams and our imagination. They inspire us, they ground us, and they bring us together. To celebrate the magic of books and reading, I decided to gather this list of children’s books celebrating books!

I learned the importance of literacy and learning from my parents. While my sister and I were growing up, my parents were always reading to us, providing us with reading materials, and encouraging us to problem solve and learn every single day. Now that I am a mother, I have continued the same traditions with my daughter as well. From reading to her every single day, to finding small ways to teach her everywhere we go, there are lots of ways that I encourage her early love of reading and learning.
I have mentioned in the past that I didn’t have the best experiences with science in school. So as an adult, I love all of the toys and science books for kids that encourage a love of science at an early age. I want my daughter to get excited about science now, so that when it comes time to learn it in school, she already has positive feelings associated with it. I was thrilled when we had the opportunity to check out two of the newest releases from Chris Ferrie, one of my favorite science authors for kids!
When it comes to first friends, how many of us can count a specific stuffed animal? There is something special about the relationship that kids develop with their toys. The idea has launched countless franchises (hello Winnie the Pooh!) because it is something that we are all familiar with. Today, we had the opportunity to check out a beautiful new children’s book about bravery, friendship, and teamwork that celebrates the relationship between child and toy, and shows how that friendship can lead to important lessons.
I love sign language. When I was in college, I was thrilled to be able to take a sign language course. I have always loved watching people sign, and wish that I could do the same. I knew that I wanted to teach my daughter sign language when she was a baby, and she quickly picked up a couple of words.

These twisted Disney tales bring your favorite characters to life with deeper backstories, emotions and issues. I started out reading the twisted version of Aladdin, and I’m so glad I did!
