This adorable book revisits Chip the dog from Don’t Eat Bees and shares his thoughts on why you should not trust cats. He shares all of the things that you can trust, including “persons”, any comfortable bed, and Grandpa. The hilarious illustrations and funny perspectives will delight kids and adults alike.
Dear Stray
Written by Kirsten Hubbard and illustrated by Susan Gal
When a young girl picks out a kitten, she picks a spiky, wild one, instead of a sweet, fluffy one. Her parents don’t understand at first, but it just may be that the little girl and the little kitten understand each other’s spiky sides. This is a sweet story about finding a special friend who understands you.
Kitty & Cat: Opposites Attract
Written by Mirka Hokkanen
Cat and Kitty are two very different animals. The very simple text in the book compares the two animals with opposites such as big/little and grumpy/happy, and their actions with over/under and push/pull. Kids will love the funny illustrations showing the differences between the two cats, and how they eventually come together.

My Cat Does Ballet
Written by Robert Heidbreder and illustrated by Matt Schu
While some cats pounce and snooze, one young boy’s cat loves to do ballet. So the young boy invites all his friends and their cats to his house so they can all do ballet together. The text includes lots of ballet terms, and each of the characters is named after a famous ballet dancer. The dark illustrations highlight the cats and their dance moves. In the back of the book, there are short biographies of all the famous dancers named in the book, as well as a breakdown of the ballet terms used in the text.

When a young boy named Ethan finds stray kittens in an alleyway, he names them and wants to take them home. He knows his dad won’t allow him to have pets, so with help from his brother, he tries everything he can to help them. This is a sweet story based on the author’s real-life experiences that celebrates the joy that can come from helping others. Kids will love the adorable illustrations and the sweet ending.
Scaredy Cats
Written by Jeff Mack
When three kittens find a mysterious wrapped gift, they start imagining what it could possibly be. As they work themselves into a frenzy, their imaginations spiral out of control. Kids will love the funny illustrations as the cats spin out of control and the illustrations become bigger and crazier.
