Summertime is the perfect time to dive into books about ocean lore. Little Bookworm loves mermaids and fairy tales, so we were thrilled to check out these new mermaid books for kids!

This large tabbed board book follows a school of merkids invited to a dance party. The rhyming text uses action words to gets kids moving and dancing along with the merkids in the book. The colorful illustrations show mermaids and sea animals dancing together, with pull tabs that activate an interactive part of the illustrations. Kids will love watching the sea animals, dance, nod, and swirl on the page.
Mermaid Day
Written by Diana Murray and illustrated by Luke Flowers
