The last few years have kept people from traveling as much, so we decided to live out our travel dreams with new kids books about travel. This list of travel books for kids introduces little ones to some famous cities, states, and countries around the world through fun stories and beautiful illustrations.

This addition to the Lulu and Rocky series joins the cute cousins as they visit Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. At the beginning of the book, Aunt Fancy sends a letter to Rocky inviting him to meet Lulu and Pufferson for another adventure. As they travel along with their tour guide, they visit famous areas around the park and see wildlife and plants that live in the area. The back of the book includes a run down of the sites, animals and plants highlighted in the book.

Written by Nana Luckham and Kath Stathers
This large guide offers ideas for 1000 trips for families to take around the world. The book is broken up by continent, and then by area. Each trip idea is introduced with a fun title such as “Hunt for signs of dinosaurs” or “Swim in fairy pools”. The small paragraph describing each trip dives deeper into the fun to be had in each location, and tips and tricks for making the most of it. The book is full of beautiful photographs that will make you jump into making travel plans.
