This story follows an origami crane as it plays an important role in the life of a young boy. The boy’s grandmother helps him to turn a piece of paper into an origami crane which he talks to and keeps with him. It helps him through tough times, and as he grows, he keeps it on a shelf. Later, he uses it to ask a woman to marry him, and eventually uses it on a mobile for his baby. This is a beautiful story about how a small moment with a loved one like a grandparent can affect our lives in big ways.
The Red Tin Box
Written by Matthew Burgess and illustrated by Evan Turk
In this story, a young girl named Maude buries a red tin box with her favorite treasures. As years go by, a piece of her always remembers the red tin box.
