Check out these new Easter books for kids!We are finally starting to see some signs of spring, which means Easter will soon be here! To celebrate the coming season, we decided to share some new Easter books for kids that we are enjoying!

Blippi: Happy Easter

Written by Thea Feldman and illustrated by Jacob Fruchter

This small tabbed Easter board book follows the beloved Blippi as he takes part in his favorite Easter traditions. The simple text explores the symbols and traditions of the holiday as Blippi and his dog celebrate together. The cartoon illustrations are bright and colorful, and match with the icons on the tabs attached to the pages. Fans of Blippi will love exploring the holiday with him.

Who Said Peep?

Written by Becky Davies and illustrated by Yi-Hsuan Wu

This touch and feel board book encourages little ones to explore different animals and animal sounds. Each two page spread asks the reader what animal makes a certain sound. The illustrations use die cut sections in the flaps to creatively use touch and feel textures in two different animal images. Little ones will love playing the guessing game, lifting the flaps, and feeling the different textures.

Little Bunny’s Big Day

Written by Grace Baranowski and illustrated by Dotty Lottie

This “Squeeze and Squeak” board book features a squeaky plastic bunny in the center of the book, and die cut pages that allow the bunny to be in all of the illustrations. The rhyming text follows Little Bunny as she goes about a day full of playing with her friends. Each page encourages the reader to squeeze the bunny to hear her funny sounds, and kids will love interacting with the story.

Chickapiglet, Who Lives Where?

Written by Brian Calhoun and illustrated by Pat Bradley and Brian Calhoun

This shaped board book introduces kids to different animal habitats through silly animal hybrids. Each two page spread features a different animal habitat. The rhyming text introduces the habitat and hints about the animal being featured. When readers lift the flap on the page, they see the two animals that are being combined, and the silly hybrid that they create together. Kids will love laughing along with this silly book, while adults will appreciate the sweet ending.

 

Dragon’s Easter Hunt

This interactive board book follows a dragon as he sneaks around hiding Easter eggs for his friends. The first page in the book features colorful eggs that readers can punch out of the page. As they read, they have to lift the flaps to find indents where the eggs can be placed. Over each indent, there is a direction telling the reader which egg to hide there. Kids will love searching through the book and putting the right eggs in their spaces, and looking at the adorable cartoon illustrations.
