The book starts with a letter from Barbie, as well as Barbie’s tips for baking, and tips and ingredients that little bakers need to get started. The recipes are broken up into themed sections such as Cookies, Brownies & Bars, Pies & Tarts, Cakes & Cupcakes, and Morning Treats. Each recipe features a clear list of ingredients and numbered steps. Several of the recipes include full page color illustrations, or Healthy Tips from Barbie.
