Interactive books are great for getting kids excited about books and reading. So I am always thrilled to learn about new interactive board books that will encourage little ones to explore books. This list is made up of fun board books that kids will want to read and explore over and over again.

Written by Alice Le Henand and illustrated by Thierry Bedouet
This introduction to feelings uses familiar scenarios and interactive illustrations to teach little ones about emotions. The text is simple, using situations that kids will be familiar with, while the illustrations feature adorable animal characters. Kids can pull the tabs to change the images along with the story.
Who Lives Where?
Written by Stephanie Babin and illustrated by Kiko
This informational book uses sliding panels to teach kids about various animals and their homes. Each page features different habitats and kids can slide the panels on the page to match each animal with their home. The text is simple, providing lots of new vocabulary words for little ones.

Baby Animals (PlayTabs)

This nonfiction board book teaches little ones about baby animals and their parents. Each page provides facts about various animals and their babies. The tabs on each page move back and forth or up and down to change the pictures. There are lots of small facts throughout the book, including the names of baby animals and tidbits about their childhood.
The Human Body (PlayTabs)
Written by Stephanie Babin and illustrated by Ilaria Falorsi
This board book is full of facts and information about the human body. The simple text makes the facts easy for kids to understand, while the pull tabs allow the reader to manipulate the illustrations on the page. The tabs can be moved back and forth, as well as up and down.

Colors (Zoe and Zack)
Written by Jacques Duquennoy
This creative book follows two cute animal friends as they explore colors and art. The author uses clear acetate pages with abstract color blobs on them to introduce little ones to colors. As kids turn the clear pages, the abstract shapes suddenly become part of a recognizable picture. Kids will love guessing what picture the two friends are creating.

This popular interactive book is now available in board book form. The text encourages the reader to manipulate the illustrations in order to move the story forward. The illustrations are simple, using primary colored circles and simple black and white backgrounds. Kids will love pushing the buttons on the page and twisting, shaking, and blowing on the pages to change the story.

Hide-and-Sleep: A Flip-Flap Book
Written by Lizi Boyd
This fun seek and find book follows a group of animals playing in the forest. The text is very simple while the illustrations are full of bright colors and sharp patterns. Kids will love searching through the pictures for the various animals.

This imaginative seek and find book uses two manipulative wheels to provide kids with different objects to find in the illustrations. While turning one wheel provides the reader with an object to find, the second wheel shows what color the object will be in. The illustrations are full of brightly colored images that kids will enjoy exploring.
