Don’t forget the little ones when you are buying your holiday books! There are a wide variety of wonderful Christmas board books for babies and toddlers to enjoy during the holiday season. From touch and feel interactive books to sweet stories introducing them to traditions and symbols, you are sure to find something for your child! While several of the classic Christmas stories are also available in board book formats, I tried to keep this post to mostly books aimed at very young children.

You Are My Miracle
Written by Maryann Cusimano Love
This sweet book follows a father bear and his child as they prepare for Christmas. The father tells the child how precious he is, and compares their relationship to many Christmas items (he is the hot cocoa, the child is the marshmallow) in a sweet rhyming pattern. Kids will enjoy the fun illustrations and rhyming, while parents will enjoy the message of the story (and just might tear up!).
Llama Llama Jingle Bells
Written by Anna Dewdney
This is one of the Llama Llama books meant for the very young. While the text is much shorter, young kids will enjoy looking at the pictures as the familiar Llama character takes part in traditional winter activities. A cute book for young readers to enjoy over and over again.
The Itsy Bitsy Snowman and The Itsy Bitsy Reindeer
Written by Jeffrey Burton
These are cute holiday themed twists on the Itsy Bitsy Spider tune. Kids will love the cute stories and bright and colorful pictures, as well as the nice rhyming pattern.
Eight Jolly Reindeer
Written by Ilanit Oliver
This shaped board book is a cute counting book that lets kids count down from 8 reindeer to 1. Kids will love the bright and sparkly illustrations and the familiar characters of Santa’s eight reindeer.
Merry Christmas, Stinky Face
Written by Lisa McCourt
This sweet book flows in a question and answer format between a mother and child, much like the original I Love You, Stinky Face by the same author. As the little boy asks his mother about all sorts of imaginative scenarios, she responds with fun and interesting answers. Kids will love the creativity of this book as well as the eye-catching and colorful illustrations.
